Friday Favorites!
Name a better time than a Friday afternoon weenie and s’more roasting fire on a crisp September day!
Cheers for Lovie:)
Logan girl was a HUGE fan of the marshmallows!
Saturday morning, I snuck over to Kayla’s to take Grandparents Day pictures.
How we got this shot within the first five minutes…I’ll never know;)
My girls:)
Okay maybe the donuts in my bag had a little to do with it:)
Our local cookie maker made these for the three sets of grandparents among the kids with their names.
The only ones I got pictures of before having to rush and hide them from my 2 year old cookie monster that doesn’t get the art of a surprise…or gift. Well when it comes to cookies I guess;)
We started with a little bit of a wild week..the forecast showed that we would be getting flooding rains from a hurricane in the gulf, so they cancelled school for Monday and then again on Tuesday. Two, extra, easy days. The BEST!
The “mail lady” brought us a really special surprise that Landry had been waiting for!
Dr. Landry NEEDED this! She started (on her own) using a “paci on a string” as a stethoscope and we got on Amazon right away to get the proper tools she needed. Sweet girl, I hit “buy now” and said, “okay DONE!” and she ran to the back door thinking it would be there. What a tough lesson to learn! haha
I couldn’t think of a better first patient;)
We needed our own Met Gala look..and when the curtain fell, we had just the thing!
Most of Landry’s little life these days revolves around “like ______ does”. It mostly is something she is imitating from me “like mommy does!” or even more often.. “like coke melon does”. Well the “coke melon” family makes a homemade pizza in one of the songs and after watching it she said “Mommy? I make pizza? Like coke melon does??” YES! But again, a lesson in patience because my dough starter isn’t really a snap your fingers thing;) So we fed our starter that morning, made our dough that night, and finally the next morning shaped our amazing crust:) She was thrilled! We had homemade pizza and a big salad for supper!
She did it all by herself and I cleaned up the floor all by myself;)
I wish you could HEAR this picture. She is just like her daddy and adds sound effects to everything! “doo. doo. dum.” each time she dropped haha
The grand finale!
and a salad to share!
If you’re in the Westlake, Lake Charles or Sulphur area and see this on a billboard..send me a picture! Our local, family owned business in town..Nichols, is utilizing their billboards to promote the fall market, how amazing!!
Speaking of the market, we now have a new shirt for Fall available!
I’m off to school, I hope everyone has the best day!
Seasonally yours,
Kelly
