Friday Favorites
Happy Friday! It has been such an odd week here in Southwest Louisiana. School closures, flooding, damage done to an already (hurricane) damaged area. Hoping we are looking at our last day of rain today and will shift back to sunny skies and rebuilding!
Last Friday. Just the whole day. A big favorite! I had been dreading it because it was Logan’s 4 month appointment. Shots:/ but she handled it so well and is a healthy and growing girl!
After the Doctor, we went to the nursery for the new flower garden at The Market at Landry Lane:)
I called Sukie to see if she and Landry wanted to meet us for plant picking and then…
the park! Logan napped and Landry PLAYED HARD! We went back for lunch at Sukie and Papa’s and then headed home in time for naps. A win all around:)
That evening, we had our favorite Friday night meal.. pizza and Olive Garden style salad. My new potting bench held our new plants and supper well:)
I was asked to do a couple of shower suites and they were so fun to put together for these new mommas!
First up was this “Cutie” set. Invitation, party favor tag, QR code card to registry, and postcard for thank yous:) Also did a matching 16x20 Welcome sign for the shower!
Next was this Woodland Animal themed set. I cannot wait to see pictures from this shower, it will be so sweet!

It’s always a favorite when these three + Logan get together! …and their mommas:) We already have our next play date set! Maybe me and Mel can finish all the stories that got interrupted. ;)
I also had the opportunity to create two custom brands for local businesses this week! Well..three if you count this next one;)
A big big favorite! A friend suggested, a little jokingly, that we should put on a Farmers Market in our town. It sounded better and better to me, so I got in touch with her and we got the ball rolling. We just posted it for the first time this week and so far, we’ve gotten great feedback and really great support from the city of DeQuincy to put it on. Hoping it’s a success and we can make it a monthly thing! So far we have 30 vendors signed up!
Those are the highlights of an actually pretty heavy week. Praying homes here heal faster than they did from the hurricanes and that our area will catch a little break this coming hurricane season! We have a fun week ahead and SUMMER COMING SOON! :)
